Need help with researches?

How to use researches?

Open Sc2MapPro and go the race tab which you want the researches then enable researches. If you put the Costs X to 1.0 then it will upgrade as soon as you have the min/gas for the research. Example: you put the Costs x 1.5 and upgrade costs 100min/100gas it will start to upgrade when you have 150min/150gas.



How to enable and disable researches?



Unlock files with GbdProtector

Open the Researches.dat with notepad

There should be the basic researches for every race

You can disable researches putting # to the research you want to disable and erease # from the upgrades you want to be researched.



How to add researches?

Example I want to upgrade Neosteel Frame

T;49;Neosteel Frame;49;0;0;100;100;0;0;0;0;N;0

id;Name;StructureL1;StructureL2;StructureL3;Gas1;Minerals1;Gas2;Min2;Gas3;Min3;Shortcut;Trigger Units

Race = T ( T = Terran , P = Protoss , Z = Zerg )

Building id = 49 (you can find the building id from: BlizzHackers Link )

Name = Neosteel Frame (name of the upgrade)

StructureL1 = 49 (lvl 1 required building's id)

StructureL2 = 0 (lvl 2 required building's id)

StructureL3 = 0 (lvl 3 required building's id)

Gas1 = 100 (lvl 1 required gas)

Minerals1 = 100 (lvl 1 required minerals)

Gas2 = 0 (lvl 2 required gas)

Minerals2 = 0 (lvl 2 required minerals)

Gas3 = 0 (lvl 3 required gas)

Minerals3 = 0 (lvl 3 required minerals)

Shortcut = N (Hotkey for the upgrade)

Trigger Units = 0 (Units id which production will start the upgrade)

So let put these together

T;49;Neosteel Frame;49;0;0;100;100;0;0;0;0;N;0

Then i add this new row on the research.dat under "Terrans"

How to set priority for your upgrades?

Open Researches.dat (with notepad)

The higher your upgrade is it has more priority.

Example if my stimpack upgrade is under combat shield upgrade it will first upgrade the combat shield from the techlab

So if I want to make it upgrade stimpack before combat shield I'll just cut the stimpack row and paste it below the combat shield upgrade

possible that i do not have research.dat ?

The default research.dat file, should be downloaded automatically by gbdinstaller.

i really dont have it, i go in my folder and type a search for all files and folders and sub-folders, it doesnt find anything,
in wich folder its supposed to be in ?

edit: the program still send updates and upgrades too, but id like to configure that

@tehuser: You need to unprotect SC2mappro via GBD Protector, afterwards you will find the researches.dat in the main directory.

um yeah, about that, i use protect, as soon as i click on the lock button, the program closes itself. And if i re-open the protect program, still shows the lock, and not the opened lock.
