| Hey guys was just wondering if you would be interested in hosting a tournament? Any feedback is appreciated! Edit: Due to a lot of people wanting this, I only have one question people are asking "Is hacks allowed". I truly believe you guys should make the discission, so I added a new poll and please answer it Any questions can be directed here to the thread

| Hello Bluelord, I was thinking about tournament this morning. And we also spoke about the possibility to add a server/client system for organizing better those 'tournaments'. What do you think about it? Something like ICQ or similar programs, but specifically coded for sc2 tournaments. Some ideas? We are thinking about clients that have: 1) Calenadr system for matches. 2) Possibility to chat. 3) Auto recording for the matches. 4) Alarm to say for example 30 minutes left after the game starts. 5) Possibility to chose randomly a map over the selected for the tournament. 6) Anti hack system and so on. Some suggestion? | |

| What we can do is arrange the matches fairly, and let the players decide on the dates they choose to play with (Within a time frame of course). Then the winner will have to PM either me or you or whoever else would be in charge of this and we would set the next bracket.
As well for the chatting system, anything can be used basically, so long as the players register before a given day. I personally use Skype due to its reliability. A chat group can be created just for the tournament and if people want to spectate it, they can.
As well as warnings for matches. I think that's a good idea, however, the better way for people if they want to see it/view it is that we post the finalist on the website and the finals be played after 24 hours of the post, that way people are aware.
I'm not sure if I answered your questions to the best, if your still confused you can ask me, I did a tournament once in StarCraft 2, and I'm just posting from experience.

| Basically to make a tournament we would need at LEAST 10-12 players... Otherwise there will have too be a Square bracket face off. (Everyone plays everyone, and the person with most wins, wins) As well Admin, a response for your suggestion 5, and 6. I sometimes use hacks, when I`m trying to perfect a build. Thus, using hacks in this situation is ideal, but if more people do not want to use hacks, then an anti-cheat system would have to be made. I can identify when someone hacks, it really simple. Anyway, it ends up on the people participating. The maps used would have to be custom, I prefer GSL maps as there always more recent and updated. The system you can do is a even map at first, e.g. Shak. Plateau, and the loser choose the map for the next round, and so on. Hope I answered your questions to the best of my abilities | |

| I hope you guys are not taking drugs or something. Holding tournament on hack side will simply draw the attention of xxxxxxxx (u know what I mean) ..... will get mass ban.
I will never support this.

| Zerg defiantly, the bot isnt great for tos, and automatic bot messes with terran micro bad imo. Also zerg is reactive so knowing what opponent is doing all the time makes it a lot easier | |

In say there will be no hacks, as I tend not to play with hacks even. As well what SC2D said, they cannot ban you, unless they know your hacking. If the tournament is legit, you cannot be banned. As well, what Admin CAN do, is make it the hacks don't work for a particular game.

| This sounds pretty awesome. I also like the idea of allowing hacks in the tourny. If everyone was using the same set of features then it is still a level playing field. Perhaps the skill in SC2 wouldn't be utilized as much but skill with the program would make up for it! Good idea | |

| Just cant have it with the bot really, being able to see attacks makes defending trivial for the defender, and if opponent plays for a macro game, well, il just play a bit more greedy than him, and he will play more greedy etc until its a pointless mass worker basically no units war | |

We have to organize that. I already have everything into motion, I just need names of people participating. and what the rules will be. Some people want with hacks and others without, but I think a tournament without shows the real talent
